We’re so grateful to share a heartfelt story from one of our kind clients who generously offered to write about her experience with clinical hypnotherapy for anxiety.
She hoped that by sharing her journey, others who may be struggling might feel less alone—and perhaps more open to exploring new ways of healing.
Her words are honest, vulnerable, and empowering. With her permission, we’re honoured to feature her first-hand account below:
I came to Erica for clinical hypnotherapy at a time when my anxiety was running the show. I had tried talk therapy, mindfulness apps, journaling—pretty much everything—but nothing seemed to shift the constant tension I was carrying in my body and mind. I was always bracing for something to go wrong, even when things were fine.
From the very first session, Erica created a space that felt safe and non-judgmental. I didn’t feel like I had to explain or justify my anxiety—she just got it. Her presence alone was calming, and I felt like I could finally exhale.
Hypnosis with Erica was nothing like I expected. It wasn’t about losing control—it was about gaining access to parts of myself I had buried under years of fear and overthinking. In that deeply relaxed state, I was able to uncover where my anxiety was really coming from—patterns and beliefs that I didn’t even realize were running in the background.
Erica gently guided me through releasing those old patterns without making me relive the pain. We worked on building new, healthier pathways in my mind—ones rooted in confidence, calm, and trust. After a few sessions, I noticed that my reactions to stressors started to change. I wasn’t spiraling the way I used to. I had more space in my head, and more peace in my body.
The tools Erica gave me during hypnosis are things I still use daily. I sleep better, I don’t avoid situations out of fear anymore, and I actually feel like I have the power to shift my emotional state when anxiety creeps in.
Working with Erica changed my relationship with myself. I stopped seeing my anxiety as something broken that needed fixing, and started seeing it as a signal—a message I could listen to and work with. Hypnotherapy with Erica didn’t just ease my anxiety—it gave me back my sense of inner stability. And for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
